Ava Elizabeth DeLonge is the daughter of Tom DeLonge, an American musician known as the co-founder, vocalist, and guitarist of the band Black-182 for over 20 years. She was born on July 15, 2002, to the musician and his high school sweetheart, Jennifer Jenkins. Ava is not the only child; she has a younger brother named Jonas Rocket DeLonge.
Early Life and Education
Ava was born into a loving family. Her parents loved her and were ready to provide anything she needed to ensure that she had a smooth childhood. As the firstborn child, she was showered with lots of love from her parents, particularly her father, who has always mentioned how proud he is of her.
Regarding her education, Ava began her elementary education in one of the best schools in the United States. However, her parents were not so open about the institution, she began her education. After elementary school, she proceeded to high school, graduating in May 2020. On her graduation, her father took to his Instagram page and noted how proud he was of her daughter but noted that he was devastated given that Ava was no longer small.
After high school, Ava Elizabeth joined Loyola Mount University to pursue higher education. She has not revealed which course she is undertaking in college.
Personal and Professional Life
Ava has not been so open about her personal life and it is hard to tell if she dating or in a serious relationship. However, there is nothing to point out that she is married, and as such it is okay to assume that she is unmarried.
Regarding her professional life, Ava does not fancy a career in the entertainment industry. She wants to carve her own career path away from her father’s fame and influence.
Her Parents’ Relationship
Ava’s parents met and began dating in 1996; at the time, they were both in high school. Their relationship lasted through high school, and years after completing their high school education, they decided to make their relationship official. The couple exchanged their wedding vows on May 26, 2001, in a beautiful ceremony attended by family and friends. The band Jimmy Eat World performed at the ceremony, and it was such a joyful moment for the couple. A year later, the couple was blessed with their first child. Ava’s parents were married for about 18 years but then decided to separate in 2019.
The reasons for their separation are unclear, but Ava’s father is now married to Rose-Marie Berryman. It is unclear if her mother remarried or not.
Her Father
Ava’s father had been in the music industry for over three decades. In 1992 he co-founded Black-182, for which he has been a member for three different stints. Throughout this time, Ava’s father has managed to make a lot of money such that his children can live a comfortable life.
